College Admissions Counseling and Consulting

Study Smarter is proud to offer college counseling and consulting services. The college counseling team at Study Smarter has over 25 years of experience in admission test preparation, academic coaching, and advising students and parents. In addition, we have experience evaluating undergraduate applications and working with admission committees at both UC and Common App schools. We strive to leverage this experience and make ourselves a one-stop shop for students at any point in the process of planning for college admissions.

As a company rooted in one-on-one education, we understand that everyone's needs vary. For families who want an in-depth, long-term partner throughout the process of preparing for college admissions, we have designed our College Application Management (CAM) package to provide a curated college list and strategic application plan. As a complement to our CAM program, we offer families hourly college consulting services for advising on other steps of the process.

College Application Management

Our CAM program is available at a flat rate for any student in high school considering their college options. The purpose of the program is to give students the benefit of our expertise so that they can find schools that align with their goals and priorities.

As part of the relationship we foster through this program, our counseling team is available to students and families to answer brief questions that inevitably arise when considering the many facets of college admissions. When students move into the second semester of junior year, we hold several meetings with them to understand their academic profiles, personalities, and goals. Based on these meetings, we use our extensive knowledge of college programs to generate a list of schools that we believe would be the best fit for each student. We then provide a strategic application plan so that students can have choices when it comes to the important decision of which college they will attend.

College Consulting

Our college consulting services are designed to help students with key strategic decisions that must be made throughout high school in order to make their college applications as strong as possible.

We are able to provide guidance on matters such as course selection, extracurricular activity selection, and summer programs. We also evaluate standardized test scores and help students understand what role the SAT, ACT, and/or AP Exams may play in the college admissions process. Moreover, when the time comes, we can provide college admission essay help, college interview coaching, and assistance with completing college applications.
